Ws-5 is a menthol derivative developed in 1970s, but it is not commercialized because of its bitter

aftertaste. We have developed a patented process to provide ws-5 with high purity, so that it does

not have the bitter aftertaste existing in the previous products.

Compared with ws-3, ws-5 has about 2.5 times of cooling intensity. It is one of the strongest cooling

agents in the world, but it has smooth and mellow flavor characteristics. Ws-5 is mainly used to cool

the top of the mouth and the back of the tongue.
